יעל מרטיק חנן היא מייסדת-שותפה ומנכ"לית של Pelles.ai – סטארט-אפ שמוביל את מהפכת הבינה המלאכותית בתעשיית הבנייה. בעברה שימשה עורכת דין במשרד יגאל ארנון.
במהלך הקריירה שלה, עברה מעולם המשפט לעולם הסטארט-אפים, עד להקמת חברה משלה שמעצבת את עתיד הבנייה באמצעות טכנולוגיה. "אני מאמינה גדולה שגישה היא דבר קטן שעושה הבדל גדול, ושלרוב צריך פשוט לקפוץ למים העמוקים ולשחות", היא מספרת אך מדגישה: "לא מתוך פזיזות, אלא מתוך אמונה אמיתית בדרך וביכולת שלך, גם כשהמציאות עוד לא השיגה אותך".
מרטיק חנן מוסיפה כי הלימודים באוניברסיטה העברית חידדו את החשיבה האסטרטגית שלה: "מהעולם המשפטי לקחתי חשיבה אנליטית וביקורתית, הקשבה מדויקת ויכולת לראות כמה צעדים קדימה. הכלים האלה עוזרים לי להבין סיכונים, לגדר אותם ולקבל החלטות קשות, במהירות ובבהירות, גם כשאין תמונה מלאה".
Yael Meretyk Hanan is the co-founder and CEO of Pelles.ai, a startup that is at the forefront of the artificial intelligence revolution in the construction industry.
Previously, she served as a lawyer at the Yigal Arnon law firm. Over the course of her career, she has transitioned from law to startups, eventually founding her own company that shapes the future of construction through technology. “I’m a big believer that attitude is a small thing that makes a big difference and that you usually just have to jump into the deep end and swim”, she says, but notes: “Not out of recklessness, but based on true faith in your path and your ability, even when the outside world hasn’t caught up with you yet”.
Meretyk Hanan adds that her studies at the Hebrew University honed her strategic thinking: “From the legal world I took analytical and critical thinking, accurate listening and the ability to see a few steps ahead. These tools help me understand risks, hedge them and make difficult decisions, quickly and clearly, even when I don’t have the full picture”.
