הראל שליסל הוא סמנכ"ל אסטרטגיה ושותפויות בחברת האנרגיה Powergen – חברת אנרגיה לייצור חשמל סולארי וייצור חשמל קונבנציונלי מגז המחזיקה ב-6 תחנות כוח. לצד זאת, משמש יו"ר חברת ריינדיר וכדירקטור בחברת בזקג'ן מספק החשמל הביתי הגדול בישראל.
שליסל החל את הקריירה שלו כעוזר האישי של קרנית פלוג בתפקידה כמשנה לנגיד הבנק, ולאחר מכן כנגידת הבנק. לאחר מכן עבד באגף התקציבים במשרד האוצר במגוון תפקידים, בין היתר בצוות התחבורה הציבורית, היה ראש תחום האנרגיה באגף, שימש כחבר מליאת רשות החשמל וכן היה ראש צוות תעשייה ומסחר כאשר במסגרת תפקיד זה הוביל את הרפורמה בייבוא ובמכון התקנים. לאחר שבע שנים באגף הצטרף לקרן ג'נריישן המשקיעה בתשתיות ושימש ראש תחום האנרגיה.
כשנשאל שליסל מהו המוטו שמוביל אותו בחייו, ענה: "להטיל ספק ולאתגר את החשיבה הקיימת ותמיד ליהנות מהדרך".
Harel Shlissel is VP of strategy and partnerships at Powergen, an energy company dedicated to the production of solar electricity and of conventional electricity from gas, which owns six power plants. He also serves as chairman of Reindeer Energy and as a director at Bezeq Energy, Israel’s largest home electricity supplier.
Shlissel began his career as personal assistant to Karnit Flug in her role as deputy governor of the Bank of Israel and later as governor. Subsequently, he worked in the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance in a variety of positions, including in the Public Transportation Team, was the head of the Division’s Energy Section, served as an assembly member of the Israel Electricity Authority and was the head of the Industry and Trade Team, where he led the import reform and the Standards Institution of Israel reform. After seven years in the Budget Division, he joined Generation Capital, a fund that invests in infrastructure and energy, and served as the head of the energy department. When asked about his motto for life, Shlissel says: “To doubt and challenge existing thinking, and always to enjoy the journey”.
